FAQ

Q. How many people are attending the reunion?

A. We expect over 100 relatives from the U.S., Canada, and Australia! Our relatives from Chania could number anywhere from 40-50 people.

Q. How do we get from the airport to the hotel?

A.  There are taxis waiting to pick up travelers from the airport. It’s a 17 Km ride, and takes about half an hour to get there. There are rental car counters at the airport, for those who are renting cars. Some rental car companies are off-site, but will meet you at the airport to take you to your car.

Q. Will the hotel provide breakfast?

A. Yes. Breakfast is included, and is served buffet style every morning in the dining hall.

Q. How will we get to the various events and destinations?

A. We have a tour bus company that will get us to and from most locations. On Monday, a smaller bus is available to take a group on the Rethymnon-Vrisses-Arkadi tour, as well as to Platanias for those wanting to take the fun train tour of their choosing.

Q. Can we just skip the option day activities?

A. Definitely. In 2014, families with kids spent a lot of time in the pool. Also, there is a pool side bar for adults to relax and enjoy. You could take a short taxi ride into town and enjoy the Venetian Harbor, shop in the narrow alleyways of old town, or hit the beach! Chania offers so much to enjoy.

Q. Will there be a booklet of some sort, with all the reunion information?

A. Yes. We will have a printed booklet for you when you register, and a PDF of the booklet will be emailed to you around two weeks before the reunion. Fill out the RSVP page to provide us with an email address.

Q. How many meals will we enjoy as a group?

A. There are three group dinners on the itinerary - on Welcome Night Sunday, Tuesday, and Farewell Dinner Friday.

Q. What will the dinners cost us?

A. We are still working on the menus and prices for Wecome Night. Also, the location for a meal after Balos Beach has not been determined. We finalized the menu for our farewell dinner at Melintaou in Therisso. The price is 25 Euros, an amazing price, given the amount of food they are offering. We know some of us are vegetarians or vegans. We will work with the restaurant to accomodate everyone.

Q. When do we pay for the buses?

A. On Sunday, at Oasis, when you register.

Q. When do we pay for the meals?

A. We will collect from everyone at the end of the meal.
